Why travel to Turkey?

Finding the mystery and the magic


Turkey is one of the world's top 10 travel destinations. It's history of human habitation goes back 25,000 years. Some of the earliest-known human communities are here. Hittites, Phrygians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Crusaders, Seljuks, Mongols, Ottomans and others have all left their works of art and culture in what is now the Turkish homeland.This country boasts of a spicy blend of oriental and modern, East and West and mystery and magic. It is the home of world-class cuisine and hotels, vibrant market places, warm hospitable people, fabulous Turkish baths and architectural splendor of mosques, castles and ruins of many a civilization. Mother Mary is said to have gone there after Jesus's death, the apostle Paul preached a sermon at Ephaesus and the mystery of the Hittite civilization is still waiting to be fully understood.

We will be able to visit the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. The Topkapi is a huge structure and houses the Imperial Council Chamber, the Imperial Treasury, the Sacred Safekeeping Rooms, Baghdad Kiosk, the Tower of Justice and the Harem. (the harem is an amazing place for anyone who grew up watching the Arabian nights.) We will travel down into the Basilica Cistern, an underground structure with amazing columns that has to be seen to be blelieved. We will have lots of time to shop at both the spice market and the Grand Bazaar.

Cappadocia has to be seen to be believed. We will visit the Kaymakli underground city with its low, narrow and sloping passages. 4 of the 8 floors are open to the public, including stables, an early Christian church, a winery, kitchen and much more. In the Goreme Valley we will see the strange rock formations known as "Fairy Chimneys" and visit several small villages where we will experience Greek life. The Sema (Whirling dervishes ceremony) inspired by the Sufi
mystical poet, Rumi, will be a highlight of the trip.

In Pergamum we will have time at the Temple of Isis and at Sardis we will experience the amazing Temple of Artemis. (Kathryn's favorite temple of all time) We will have time to meditate and breath in the magic of these places.

All spiritual seekers should experience Ephesus, one of the greatest Roman Cities of all time. We will also explore the House of the Virgin Mary where the Apostle John cared for Mary in her last days. You can leave offerings and feel the spirit of this place.

What is spiritual travel?


Why should I spend my time and money this way?
For millennia people have been drawn to sacred sites and spiritual travel. Whether they went to Karnak in Egypt, Delphi in Greece or Angkor in Cambodia, humans have long embarked on journeys to discover themselves and the mystical within. They traveled lightly, relying solely on their intuition and soul´s purpose. Today, millions of us still make pilgrimages to places around the world, longing to connect with the magical and the mystical. Nowadays, thought, It is not necessary to go to the ends of the earth or to suffer physical hardship on the journey. What is necessary is an attitude of adventure and a willingness to trust and act upon our inborn psychic ability. This is what I call third eye travel.

In my opinion, human beings were created to be explorers and adventurers. The urge to travel is in our genetic makeup. I bring people around the world with the goal of experiencing the mystical and magical while also seeing the sites in a joyful fashion with with effortless ease.

It is also unfortunately true that mystical or any specialty groups costs more than bulk group tours. For one thing, huge tour groups can negotiate far better prices on hotels etc. than any smaller trip operator can do.ÊThey also usually have about 40 people in their groups and are such a rigid schedule that no changes are allowed.

On mystical journeys we travel in small groups which are far easier to negotiate in terms of checking in to hotel, eating at small restaurants and at pit stop breaks. But, mostly, we have the freedom to linger a bit longer if we wish to do a ceremony or have some time to meditate (or shop or take photos.) if a faery stepped out and started to talI couldn't speak on the bus, we couldn't do ceremony. Because we are all of a like mind, we are able to talk about the spiritual and magical without fear of being ridiculed. I also always include at least one channeling session, a pre-trip gathering and many other informal discussion. You may join the group alone but you will return with many new friends.

On a mystical tour you get a group that is all interested in the same thing and a guide who is knowledgable about what we are interested in hearing. Of course, nothing is mandatory on these journeys. Some days you may wish to be by yourself and not join in and group activities. Small group travel gives you that opportunity. (although, of course, we always need to honor times and other's needs as well).

So, this trip is for you if you want an experience outside of an ordinary group tour. You will be staying in fine hotels, eating good food and traveling in a small coach that can access places the big tour buses can't. You will be with a group of friends who all (in varying degrees) have the same interests as you do. You will have an experienced guide who knows the countryside and speaks the language, as well as an intuitive master who can help you nurture your own intuition and receive messages from your guides and spirits.
